How to use it
- 01Check the deal breakers first. If one is true, stop there.
- 02Score each criterion honestly, ideally with two or three people from the team.
- 03Adjust the weights if something matters more for your business.
- 04Read the weakest three, and ask whether you can fix them before the deadline.
- 05Save the result so you can compare it with how the bid turns out.
Questions
Who should fill it in?
The person who'd lead the bid, plus someone who wouldn't. A second view keeps the scores honest.
What if we score in the middle band?
Look at the three weak spots. If you can fix them before the deadline, bid. If you can't, passing frees your team for a better one.
Should we track the results?
Yes. Over time, comparing scores with wins and losses tells you where your own thresholds should sit.
