How to use it

  1. Set the buyer's goal and goal date with your champion.
  2. Fill in their internal steps. Ask, since you won't know them otherwise.
  3. Put names on both sides of every step.
  4. Work back from the goal date and adjust anything that doesn't fit.
  5. Share it, and update it every week.

Questions

When should we start a mutual action plan?

After discovery confirms there's a fit, and before the proposal goes out.

What if the buyer won't commit to dates?

Ask for the one date that matters to them and work back from it. If nobody can name one, the deal may be stuck.

Where should the plan live?

Inside the proposal as its last chapter, so every reader on the buyer's side sees it.
